Who We Are

Anita Ralph and Philip Evans are Members of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, the leading professional organization, membership of which comes through a degree-level training programme in both conventional medical science and the practice of traditional herbal medicine.

We offer a service of General Herbal Practitioner, and are usually able to provide the first-call healthcare service that you are looking for. This means that we are able to work either in place of, or alongside your own doctor, as required.

We started Ralph & Evans in 1997, having each been in practice individually since 1990, so together combine over 40 years of practice in herbal medicine.

We are trained and experienced in using plants alongside or instead of conventional medicine. This can be particularly helpful if you are experiencing adverse side-effects of drugs, or because of problems with diagnosis or treatment.

We are experienced in using herbal medicines in both acute and chronic complaints, herbal medicine often acting quickly and efficiently when taken in the correct dosage.

We are trained and experienced in using plant medicines for the frail or elderly, for children and babies, and also in pregnancy, where women have used herbal medicines successfully since the dawn of history.

We will advise you to seek help with other health-care professionals whenever necessary.
